Frederick Achom was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1974, one of four children born to a businessman father and housewife mother. The Achom siblings were sent to private boarding schools in London, where Frederick completed his education. He returned briefly to Nigeria, but left his medical studies for the business world. He went back to London where he worked as a junior surveyor in the financial sector of the city and gained the experience that he needed for independent operation. One of his first major successes, which was a significant stepping stone in his business career, was the sale in 1997 of his business development agency to the London based company ECG.

 In 2003 Achom established the privately owned Rosemont Group of Companies of which he is the Chairman. The Group boasts several spheres of activity including investment in property, high-end Italian kitchens, restaurant and member only clubs. In a recent trend towards diversification the Group invested in a large winery “down under” in Australia and recently  launched the Bennett restaurant chain. The Rosemont Group's newest venture in London is the opening of the Bennett Oyster Bar & Brasserie, which excels in the preparation of high quality seafood. The restaurant's theme is based on a French brasserie but serves traditional British favorites using the freshest produce grown locally. In addition to dining, customers can buy local produce, cheeses, specialty wines and freshly baked breads from the store that is located alongside the restaurant. 

 In his constant search for innovation, Achom is planning the launch of a unique, one of a kind restaurant planned to open in early 2011 in Los Angeles. It is said that this restaurant will bring about a complete change in the concept of dining out, and it has already gained support from many Hollywood celebrities.

Frederick Achom works hard and plays hard, enjoying sports such as football and tennis, and skiing in the winter. He also collects wine, antiques and arts – and above all, believes in following his dreams. He owns homes in several international cities, such as London, Paris and Rome, and businesses across several continents. Constant commuting between all of these locations could be tricky, but Frederick Achom keeps meticulous schedules through careful planning and reliable support from partners and assistants. Of all of his possessions, he holds time to be his most valuable asset, which he takes advantage of to be with his children.
